Episode 354 Merril Hoge is a First Class Father, former NFL Running Back, Motivational Speaker and Author. He played the majority of his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers before finishing with the Chicago Bears. After his football career was over he worked as an analyst for ESPN for more than 20 years. In 2003 he was diagnosed with stage 2 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and is now Cancer Free. He is the author of two books; Brainwashed: The Bad Science Behind Cte and the Plot to Destroy Football / Find a Way : Three Words That Changed My Life. In this Episode, Merril shares his Fatherhood journey as well as his transition to Grandfather, he discusses his parenting philosophy including his discipline style, he talks about how his battle with cancer led to him becoming an author, he tells us about his books, his speaking career and his plans for the future, he offers some great advice for new or about to be Dads and more!
