Catholic parents Joseph and Arlene Kutzko are fighting Massachusetts DCF for custody of their daughter Sophie after the state removed her in December 2024.
They say Algonquin Regional High School socially transitioned her without telling them. The Kutzkos, citing Catholic teaching, refused to treat their biological daughter as a boy. DCF then took custody. The family says contact was cut after they would not use a male name and pronouns.
